DAY 9 ADD THE OUTDOORS

 

Bundle up and get outside!

In the winter months it is much harder to get motivated to get outside and walk about. I find it helps if I set a timer of 20 min, or even 10 min. Setting a timer or a destination can really help in the actual act of getting out the door. Make a play list or a great pod cast, make sure you are wearing something visible and you are aware of cars, make it a ritual that you look forward to. Some of my best ideas come from a winter walk. The air is fresh and world is more quiet. Walking is really the best way to start exercising or moving your body, it is less intense than running and stimulates the lymphatic system and lungs in a gentle way. So get out there, maybe find a park and make a snow angle or snow person, have fun!! Below is a into to tree pose, it’s a great warm up.
